Description

After an ‘exchange year’ Erasmus at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne during which jcm had the opportunity to be assistant-professor of professor christian gilot " urban history ", a diploma in Louvain - la-Neuve and first year of training in the workshop lanotte in namur, the need to start look elsewhere was felt . are to follow his five years in office Meier & Partners Architects in Geneva as project manager (schools, hospital expansion , viaduct, ..) and assistant-professor at EPFL in the presence of philippe meier as visiting professor.

Back in Belgium and after a one-year partnership with Pierre Hebbelinck , the birth of an independent activity has led to the creation of the “Atelier d’architecture Mathen”, together with jpm ir - architect and expert since the seventies .

Clearly defined roles looming therefore a revival in the practice of project and achievements that result.

Participation at many competition is for the workshop, not an end in itself to get orders but a desire to keep thinking , to look for tracks, try solutions that have not yet been put into practice in the projects in progress .
