- 120-beds Rest and nursing home
- The architectural design of the new building is defined by its location in the middle of a park, in expansion of an existing residence for the elderly.[...]
The East-West orientation of the new construction offers maximum sunshine and brightness to the rooms. A gallery connects the new building the existing building for use by residents and staff. That gallery is also connected to technical facilities and services, common to both buildings.
This building asserts itself by its simplicity and sheer volume, a well proportioned parallelepiped detached from its environment with its net shape and the rhythm of load-bearing steel columns, whose vertical height reminds of large trees that form the scenery of the building, and whose processing crude steel refers to the industrial past of this region.
